Every Child Deserves a Safe, Stable, and Nurturing Environment
April is recognized as National Child Abuse Prevention Month and Wisconsin Strengthening Families Month, a time to raise awareness about the critical role we all play in protecting children and supporting families. The pinwheel serves as a symbol of childhood hope, resilience, and the bright futures every child deserves. By learning, sharing, and advocating, you can help create a stronger, safer community for children in Outagamie County and beyond.
Pinwheels are bright, fun, and spin in the wind—just like the joyful, carefree childhood every child should have. In April, you might see lots of blue pinwheels displayed in parks, schools, and public spaces. That’s because blue pinwheels are a special symbol for Child Abuse Prevention Month. They remind us that all children deserve to grow up feeling safe, happy, and supported. |
In 2008, Prevent Child Abuse America introduced the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign, which has since become a lasting opportunity for individuals and organizations to take action in their community. At CASA of the Fox Cities, we recognize the hundreds of children in Outagamie County who have experienced abuse or neglect and aim to serve each of them with a Court Appointed Special Advocate.
While CASA of the Fox Cities works each and every day to serve the children of our organization and spread awareness about our mission, we take the month of April to join forces with our community to grow our network of volunteers, educate individuals, and bring the stories of child victims to life.
